The Orchestra takes a pride in offering a friendly welcome to all musicians of appropriate standard. This standard is reckoned to be grade five or equivalent plus competent sight reading skills. No audition is required and players will find their skills respected and nurtured in a supportive way. Prospective members should be keen to work together and show a commitment to rehearsals that enables the orchestra to be adventurous and to offer all sections realistic challenges. There are vacancies for most instruments, with a particular need for string players. Anyone interested is welcome to come along to a few rehearsals on a trial basis.
